S. Arif Ali Founder & Chairman of Help International Welfare Trust, working in the field of social work since 1985, he worked for different NGO’s and he formed HIWT in 1994. He has devoted his life for the social cause, and keen to support the deserving and poor in every step.
He has done bachelor of commerce from Karachi University. By profession, he belongs with accounts and finance department of an International Donor Agency.
Mr. Abdul Rauf Taani
Chairman / Trustee
Mr. Abdul Rauf Tabani is a well known business and social personality both locally and internationally. He is presently the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus. He had been the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Tajikistan for 15 years.
He is the Founder President of Pak Russia Business Forum and Pak Sri Lanka Business Forum, he was the Chairman of Pakistan Russia Business Council of FPCCI and the Founder Member of Pak Romania Business Council. He is also an active member of various other clubs, forums and business associations including the FPCCI and KCCI.
Professionally he is a B.E. in Civil Engineering, and has obtained various other courses and trainings. Mr. Tabani was the Vice Chairman of Aero Asia the largest Private Airline in Pakistan. Presently he is the President/CEO of Tabani Trading International (Pvt.) Ltd., and has a vast experience of business.
Mr. Tabani has interest in social work and he is also associated with various civil society organizations.
Mr. Mohammed Rafiq Rangoonwala
Vice Chairman / Trustee
Mr. M. Rafiq Rangoonwala is a social personality both locally and internationally. He is at present the CEO of FAEZ Consultancy (Pvt.) Ltd. He has headed KFC and other brands in Pakistan since 1999.
He was born in Karachi, did BA (Hons.) from University of Karachi, went to United States of America in 1979, and did Executive Development Course from Whittemore School of Business, University of New Hampshire along with several management courses from U.K, U.S, Canada, Australia and Singapore and did MBA in Marketing. In 1980, he started his career in Fast Food restaurants from KFC in Houston.
In 1987 he was transferred to Caribbean region as Franchise Service Manager, then to Cairo in 1988 as Field Service Manager for Saudi Arabia and Egypt. He was appointed Market Director of Middle East in 1989. He stayed with PepsiCo in Restaurant Division for over 18 years. In 1997 –1999 he joined Americana as head of its UAE Fast Food Division.
He joined Artal Restaurants International as CEO in October 1999 and he has headed KFC, Indulge, Freshens, Casa, LalQila, L"Occitane, My Super Store & Saint Cinnamon.
In Houston he was General Secretary of Pakistan American Association of Greater Houston, Board Member of Islamic Education Institute of Texas, and Councilor of Islamic Society of Greater Houston.
He was Treasurer of YPO “Young President Organization” – Pakistan Chapter for 2002-2003 and also served on YPO Board, and chaired Communication committee. He is member Central Committee and Chairman Publication Committee of 21st Century Business & Economic Club and OUAC “Overseas University Alumni Club”, and patron of 21st Century Business & Economics Club’s Women Forum. Additionally, he is also Advisory Board member of Institute of Business Technology. Previously he was Honorary Secretary and Chairperson of Publication & Membership Committees of Marketing Association of Pakistan, he has been elected President twice of MAP. Vice President Elect Rotary Centennial in April 2005. Founder member of Pakistan Sri Lanka Business Forum Founder member Pakistan India CEO forum. He is ex-President Food Association of Pakistan, member Board of Governors – Reflection School and is Gen. Secretary Karachi Business Forum.
Mr. Adil Ahmed Khan

Mr. Adil Ahmed Khan is the founder member of HIWT, from the beginning he is working for HIWT, He has done bachelor of commerce from Karachi University. He looks after all the operational activities of HIWT, while he is also part of an advisory board of HIWT. He has his own business with the name of Supper Traders.
Sayid Mansoob Hasan
Sayyid Mansoob Hasan is the Managing Partner of MANSOOB & CO. – Cost & Management Accountants and Management Consultants. He is a senior member of Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan and Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan and is also a Certified Lead Assessor of Quality Management Systems.
He has over 22 years of professional experience as a Practicing Cost & Management Accountant and at Senior Management Positions including Board of Directors of different Non-Banking Finance Companies. He has worked for most of the industries in Pakistan and has provided solutions to various management problems.
He is also a public speaker of international stature and a passionate trainer and likes to disseminate his knowledge and experience. He has been sharing his knowledge at various forums for quite some time.
Besides Mr. Mansoob is a social worker and has interest in Global Peace and Prosperity. He is the President of Circle of Voice Trust and Executive Director of Help International Welfare Trust.
He is also active on the professional front. He has been the Secretary and Vice-Chairman of the Karachi Branch Council of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA Pakistan). He has also served on various standing and non-standing committees of the National Council of the ICMA Pakistan. Presently he is the member of the Technical Support and Practicing Development Committee of ICMA Pakistan and ICAP & ICMA Pakistan Joint Evaluation Committee of Best Corporate Reports Award.
Mr. Mansoob is a recognized international contributor at the professional development front. He has been assigned the Chair of the SAFA Task Force to develop a strategy to combat corruption in SAARC Region. SAFA (South Asian Federation of Accountants) is the Regional Body of Public Accounting Organizations in the SAARC Region.
Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Bawany
Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Bawany was Chief Executive and Managing Director of Linde Pakistan Limited – a Member of Linde AG, Germany. He served Linde Pakistan Limited for about 30 years in various leadership roles and was responsible for successfully executing several local and regional initiatives and strategies. Prior to his appointment as CEO & MD, he held a number of key positions within the company.
He takes keen interest in the promotion of education, trade and industry and strongly advocates these causes through various professional, corporate and trade platforms and also supports various social and welfare activities. In this regard he is associated with the Welfare Committees of Tabba Heart Institute (THI), Tabba Kidney Institute under Aziz Tabba Foundation (ATF).
Mr. Bawany is Chairman Pakistan German Business Forum (PGBF) and a Director on the Board of German Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GPCCI). He is also Chairman, Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) of Memon Professional Forum and also holds the office of Vice President of Bin Qasim Association of Trade & Industry (BQATI) and Vice-President Jetpur Memon Association (JMA). In addition he has also served as nominee Director of Pakistan Stock Exchange on the Board of National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) and Chairman Board Audit Committee of NCCPL.
He is the former President of Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) and Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA).
Mr. Bawany is a fellow member of ICMAP and ICSP. He is also a Law graduate and has done various advanced management courses from local and foreign institutions. Mr. Bawany is also a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG).
Mr. Rashid Hashmi Surmawala
Dr. M. Rashid Hashmi is the CEO of Hashmi Group. The company Mohammad Hashim Tajir Surma was established by Hakim Mohammad Hashim at Bareilly, India with a handful of spirited people more than two centuries ago in 1794, working with meager facilities and limited resources.
He has been very kind hearted in social activities and associated with various civil society organizations for their causes.
Mr. Faizal Zahid Malik
Mr. Malik is the Editor-in-Chief Pakistan Observer, has a Masters in Journalism from the University of Punjab. He has over 29 years of experience in the journalism industry, and has worked at Reputable Hurmat group of newspapers. Including Al akhbar, weekly Hurmat and Pakistan Observer. Which he owns and manages. He has played an active role in numerous global conferences on topics including the media and trade. His professional travel experiences include journeying to the USA, UK, Japan, Uzbekistan, Thailand, China, Turkey, Iraq, Dubai, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Algeria.
He is also part of various associations, such as Rawalpindi Union of Journalists, Green Park Investment, All Pakistan Newspaper Society, Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors, Marketing Association of Pakistan, and Islamabad Chamber of Commerce, among others.
